Unaccompanied Minors
Bookings for unaccompanied minors must be made by contacting the Alliance Airlines Reservations Team at flights@allianceairlines.com.au
An unaccompanied minor is a child aged between 5 and 11 years of age (inclusive), travelling without the supervision of a person 15 years of age or over.
The parent or guardian must ensure that:
- A separate Unaccompanied Minor Form is completed correctly and in full by the sender, for each child travelling even if they are from the same family;
- The sender accompanies the Unaccompanied Minor at check in and at the airport until the aircraft on which the child is travelling has departed;
- The receiver will be at the destination airport to meet the child on arrival of the aircraft and will present suitable photographic identification;
Children under the age of 5 years can only travel if accompanied by an adult aged 15 years or older. Young adults 12 to 14 years of age (inclusive), may travel with Unaccompanied Minor status if requested by their parent or guardian.
Alternatively, young adults aged 12-17 can have their parent or guardian request the Airline be made aware of their travel by emailing flights@allianceairlines.com.au with the booking reference. Note that no additional assistance is provided, however crew will be made aware the passenger is on board.
