Portable Electronic Devices 

Passengers may operate handheld personal electronic devices such as eBooks, iPads and mobile phones during all phases of flight when the device is selected to flight mode. 

Passengers may operate larger personal electronic devices such as laptops during the cruise phase when the device is selected to flight mode. Any personal electronic devices larger than an iPad must be stowed during take-off and landing. 

Electronic cigarettes are not permitted for use at any time in the aircraft cabin. 

Radio transmission using personal communication devices including walkie talkies, global positioning systems are prohibited at all stages of flight as it may interfere with the aircraft’s communication and navigation systems. 

It is an offence to disobey the instructions of Alliance Airlines personnel in respect to the use of mobile phones and other electronic transmitting devices
